The recruitment is being conducted under the following engineering categories:
- Category I – Civil Engineering
- Category II – Mechanical Engineering
- Category III – Electrical Engineering
- Category IV – Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering
Eligibility Criteria
Age Limit
Candidates must have attained the age of 21 years and must not have attained the age of 30 years as on 1 January 2027.
Accordingly, the candidate must have been born:
- Not earlier than 2 January 1997
- Not later than 1 January 2006

Age relaxation will be applicable as per the Government of India rules.
Educational Qualification
Candidates must possess an eligible Engineering Degree from a recognised university or institution.
The prescribed qualifications include:
- Degree in Engineering from a University incorporated by an Act of the Central or State Legislature in India.
- Degree from an educational institution established by an Act of Parliament or declared to be a deemed university under Section 3 of the UGC Act, 1956.
- Passed Sections A and B of the Institution Examinations of the Institution of Engineers (India).
- Engineering degree/diploma from a recognised foreign university, college or institution under conditions recognised by the Government.
- Passed the Graduate Membership Examination of the Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers (India).
- Passed Associate Membership Examination Parts II and III/Sections A and B of the Aeronautical Society of India.
- Passed Graduate Membership Examination of the Institution of Electronics and Radio Engineers, London, held after November 1959.
Additional Qualification for Certain Posts
For Indian Naval Armament Service (Electronics Engineering Posts), candidates may also possess an M.Sc. degree or equivalent with Wireless Communication Electronics, Radio Physics or Radio Engineering as a special subject.
For Indian Radio Regulatory Service Group 'A', candidates may possess an M.Sc. degree or equivalent with Wireless Communication Electronics, Radio Physics or Radio Engineering as a subject, or a Master's Degree in Science with Physics and Radio Communication, Electronics or Telecommunication as a special subject.
